The GWS F4U Corsair Fighter retains all of the power that made its namesake famous.  With both rudder and aileron control onboard, and powered by the high-output EPS 350C geared drive system, the GWS F4U Corsair can complete any maneuver  -  inside and outside loops, hammerheads, spins, barrel rolls, inverted flight, and even rolling circles. Stall speed is quite low, and stalls are gentle when they occur.   Top speed is 30 to 40mph depending on battery pack choice... just about right for aerobatics in a small flying area.

In addition to the authentic scale outline, the GWS F4U Corsair is offered in a scale dark blue paintjob that looks great!  We also have a model in all white at a reduced price, for those who want to build an all-black "nightfighter" version.  The attention to detail in the canopy, cowl, gun ports, and full set of insignia make this F4U Corsair one of the best looking scale models.

The F4U Corsair can be assembled in just a few evenings. Assembly consists mainly of gluing the pre-painted foam components together, cutting out the control surfaces, and installing the radio equipment. GWS includes a linkage to drive both ailerons from one servo, but we recommend using a single servo for each aileron, mounted in the wing for better control response. The GWS EPS 350C comes an efficient "350" motor and 5.33:1 gear reduction drive pre-assembled(except slope versions). Just attach the supplied 10x8 prop, and slide the whole power unit onto the GWS motor mount in the fuselage.

Great scale looks and stable handling combined with full aerobatic potential make this model the favorite of many modelers worldwide. If you've flown a number of slower, less nimble models and are ready to put some excitement back into Sunday at the field, the GWS F4U Corsair Fighter is ready to deliver.
